Alt Hair was created with a vision.

Hi, my name is Kyla. I’ve been a hairdresser for over 18 years, including more than 10 years working with alternative hair, and I wanted to create a unique, boutique experience for people.

Working closely with hair loss clients, a few comments always caught my attention: “I miss going into the salon for the experience,” and “It’s so hard online to find the perfect shade.”

And so Alt Hair was born. Your pieces are your hair, and as your personal stylist, I am the only one both consulting and working on your piece, allowing no information to get lost in translation. Traditionally, work is outsourced to independent stylists, and I wanted to fill that gap.

At Alt Hair, you can browse in person, try on, select colour swatches, and be there every step of the way to create your dream hair.

Every piece listed on the website is also for sale, and the colour can be altered too. If you can’t find your perfect shade online, we have a range of stock pieces so that we can bring your hair dreams to life together.

Not in Adelaide? No problem. Via video chat, we can work together, select inspiration photos, and you can even post out colour swatches for me to match.
